YPG of Priscilla Presby Congregation officially launches 2024 Youth and Students Week

The Young People’s Guild (YPG), Priscilla Congregation of the Dansoman District in the GA West Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has joyously launched the much-anticipated Youth and Students Week 2024 on Sunday, March 3.

The annual Youth and Students Week, celebrated globally by YPGs, is a testament to faith, community and growth. This year’s activities promise to be engaging and impactful under the theme, “Jesus Christ, The Alpha and Omega; Testifying of His Glory and Marvelous Deeds.” Psalm 96:3

The Priscilla Congregation’s YPG has started a project to renovate and modernise the church’s restrooms as part of its dedication to community outreach under this year’s celebration.

The launch was graced with the presence of Hon. Marian Marie Addo, who took on the role of the Chairperson for the project and celebration.

In a heartwarming gesture of community support, Hon. Marian Marie Addo, Chairperson of the occasion, generously contributed heavily towards the refurbishment and enhancement of washroom facilities within the congregation

Reflecting on her commitment, Hon. Marian Marie Addo remarked, “Investing in our youth and fostering community development are paramount priorities. I am honorued to support the YPG’s commendable initiatives.”

Echoing these sentiments, the leadership of the Guild, led by the president and vice; Felix Matey Adjokay and Agnes Kupualor, respectively, expressed profound gratitude, stating, “The launch of YSW’24 marks the beginning of an inspiring journey towards spiritual growth, service, and unity. We are immensely grateful for the unwavering support of Hon. Marian Marie Addo.”

The week-long celebration includes a series of events, starting with an exposition on the theme by the distinguished Cat. George Odame, Catechist In Charge, PCG- Priscilla Congregation on Monday, March 4. This will be followed by a career development discussion led by Lawyer Frank Quaye on Tuesday, March 5.

Wednesday, March 6, dubbed “Early Bird,” will feature a clean-up exercise and game activities among guilders. Thursday, March 7, “Everything Love,” will host discussions on relationships and navigating their intricacies.

Friday will culminate in a mega Worship night, while Saturday is dedicated to a Day-Out for guilders. The celebrations will be crowned with a Thanksgiving ceremony on Sunday.
