John Abu Jinapor, the Member of Parliament for Yapei Kusawgu, has identified power supply as the first challenge that will hit the incoming John Mahama administration.
According to John Jinapor, Mahama should prioritize power supply as that can affect his government because the Akufo-Addo government has crippled the sector with huge debts.
In a Facebook post sighted by Happy News, he stated that the energy sector should be handled with topmost priority.
“Parts of Ghana currently experiencing load shedding from GRIDCo. The first challenge for the next government will be to stabilise power (electricity) supply asap,” he wrote on his Facebook page on December 29, 2024.
His statement follows ongoing concerns and protests from some Ghanaians who are opposed to Mahama’s election, with many fearing the return of erratic power cuts, popularly known as “dumsor,” that have plagued the country in the past.
