Minister for Communications and Digitalization, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful says Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen should be grateful to former president John Agyekum Kufuor for giving him the opportunity to serve under his government.
According to her, Alan Kyerematen shouldn’t be moving around acting as if former president Kufuor owes him something when he should be the grateful one because he was given the opportunity to serve out of the millions of Ghanaians.
Ursula Owusu-Ekuful also said Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen’s claim that former president Kufuor credited him for 70 percent of his policies during his presidency cannot be true.
“I don’t agree with people when they say I have done this and that because you were given an opportunity to serve just like all of us. I can’t say that I’m the Minister of Digitalization so Dr. Bawumia shouldn’t talk about digitalization when I should be privileged to be serving as the Minister because I was not on the ballot.”
“The power was given to the President and vice and so every work we do is for them. So if president Kufour gave you the opportunity to serve, you should rather be grateful that you were chosen out of the millions Ghanaians.”
She added that Alan’s claim that he contributed 70 percent to the policies of former president John Agyekum Kufuor is an inflated view of his own performance in the government.
“70 percent of president Kufuor’s policies were trade related, is that what he is saying? Or he was the only person in the Kufuor government who could think and come out with bright ideas? That’s an inflated view of his own performance.”
