Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, the presidential candidate of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC), has said that a distinguished politician like former president John Agyekum Kufuor shouldn’t have endorsed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
According to Alan Kyerematen, a Founding Member of the NPP, former president Kufuor has created a big blot on his political career by endorsing Dr. Bawumia ahead of the December 7 elections.
Former president John Agyekum Kufuor on Sunday, November 17, 2024, endorsed Dr. Bawumia ahead of the elections stating that Ghana is blessed to have the Vice president as a leader.
“President Kufuor is my uncle and I didn’t want to speak about it in public but that is not how an elder should behave. He will see that his actions of endorsing Bawumia has created a big blot on his political career.”
“Have you seen how people are attacking him after the endorsements? Somebody who has had a distinguished political career shouldn’t have associated himself with this,” he said on Oyerepa TV.
Alan Kyerematen also urged the former president to stop what he is doing because it is not good.
“He is my uncle and I’m telling him to stop what he is doing because that is not how an elder behaves. If you are doing something as an elder and you are prompted you need to stop.”
