General Manager of Aduana Stars FC, Takyi Arhin has slammed giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko over the indefinite suspension of the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak in a joint statement while reacting to the death of Nana Pooley has made certain demands to the Ghana Football Association before they return to play football.
The demands including automatic slots for them on the Executive Council has triggered Takyi Arhin who has said that Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko are no more special so they shouldn’t expect any peculiar treatment.
“We are not justifying what happened in Nsoatre; we condemn it, and we mourn with the family. But don’t use this tragedy to demand an Exco slot because you are the most glamorous club. That argument is neither here nor there. They are like any other club in the country.”
He added that Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko should come to the realization that they are no longer superior.
“Today, if Kotoko is playing, you can count the fans in the stadium within three minutes. The same applies to Hearts of Oak. We used to use Kotoko and Hearts for budgeting, but that’s no longer the case.”
“How many times have Kotoko and Hearts won the league in the last 10 years?” he quizzed.
