Yakubu Moro advises ‘football people’ to boycott NC invitation to share ideas on Ghana’s Premier League

Owner and bankroller of Brekum Arsenals Football Club, Yakubu Moro, has said that they [Clubs] will not honour the Ghana Football Association invitation of representatives of clubs in the two divisions as well as women’s football to plan for the 2019/20 season.

A statement from the FA secretariat says: ”The Ghana Football Association sends its compliments and kindly requests you to appoint two representatives each from Premier, Division One and Women Football Clubs accompanied by a GHALCA Executive to meet with the GFA officials to discuss the possible start of the 2019/2020 league season.”

Speaking in an interview on ‘Wamputu Sports’ on Happy FM with Odiasempa Kwame Oware the chief of Brekum Arsenals said, “No football person will honor that Normalization Committee meeting. We won’t come. What does he [Kofi Amoah] has that he will tell us? I will advise all football to boycott that meeting. He should just let us go to Congress and elect our own leaders.”

“Dr Kofi Amoah thinks we are fools, that’s why he is taking us for granted but I don’t blame them, I blame some football people like Cudjoe Fianoo,Oloboi commodore and Micky Charles who are supporting him because of their selfish gains. That was why he took them to Egypt,” he added.
