Aduana Stars forward Yahaya Mohammed says he will win this season’s Premier League golden boot award ahead of Legon Cities new signing Asamoah Gyan.
The 33-year old acknowledged the strong competition in this season’s league for the golden boot with the arrival of Ghana’s all-time leading top scorer.
Speaking in an interview on Wamputu Sports with Odiasempa Kwame Oware on Happy 98.9FM he said,
“My target is to win the goal king and that target will not change. It’s difficult now because I have to compete with Asamoah Gyan the goal machine. I have made up my mind already and it all depends on my hardwork.
“Now that Gyan is coming to the league it will make all the strikers work very hard, we all have to double our efforts now”
Yahaya Mohammed is confident of winning the award despite the competition.
“I will confidently say by the end of season I will be coming for the golden boot”.
The Aduana Stars forward has promised to score two goals against Hearts of Oak in the team’s opening game of the season.
