Workers Ghana Highway Authority threaten to strike from November 12

Workers of the Ghana Highway Authority have threatened to embark on an indefinite strike from Tuesday November 12, 2024.

Their strike would cause the delay and halt of major road construction currently ongoing in all parts of the country.

According to the aggrieved workers, government should as a matter of urgency remove the Board Chairman, Ing. I.K. Mensah and the Chief Executive Officer Ing. Collins B. Donkor, over their refusal to halt the implementation of the controversial National Roads Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1118).

They have also petitioned the president, to act swiftly.
