Seasoned Marriage Counselor and official Counselor for the 2023 HappyFM Mass Wedding, Mrs. Ellen Gyamerah-Ako, has cautioned men on how to build and improve a healthy marriage.
According to her, women naturally are made to be demanding as they desire affectionate love from their partners.
Speaking during the counseling session of the 2023 HappyFM Mass Wedding on “Knowing Your Partner”, the well-versed marriage counselor indicated that men are created to “rule with love” as she urged men to be more empathetic towards their partners.
“Every man needs to understand that women demand more love from their partners. Every woman needs affectionate love and they intend to want more than they’re given. Women can go the extra mile for the people they live and sacrifice greatly. God in his own wisdom made men to love women. In Genesis 3: 16 when God was punishing the woman, He said women will suffer greatly in childbearing and in pain women shall bring forth children and their desire shall be for their husband and he shall rule over them,” she shared.
She further advised couples to be expressive in their marriages and maintain their love language. For her consistently expressing one’s intent and feelings to their partner build a harmonious home.
“Men should always make it intentional in expressing their love. Its rare that couples say to themselves they love each other. Saying ‘I love you‘ seems to only exist in the courtship stage and that shouldn’t be the case.”
