Founder of Common-Sense Family, Avraham Ben Moshe, has explained his interpretation of witchcraft.
Not believing in the conventional definition of witchcraft, he described it as an opportunity for others to blame another for their misfortunes.
He expressed confusion over why people blame every bad event that happens to them on witchcraft.
Talking to Rev. Nyansa Boakwa on Happy 98.9FM’s NsemPii, he said, “Where is the witchcraft and what has it done? My understanding of witchcraft is you doing something extra ordinary. This means something no one is capable of doing and that is what I know is referred to as witchcraft.”
He believes although there are others who are able to do these ordinary things, “they just prefer to do it to destroy others, and use it negatively.”
“Aside those using it negatively, there is nothing wrong in someone being a witch or wizard. It only means the person is able to do extra ordinary stuff. If you’re using it in a good way or for the right thing, then there is nothing wrong with it. But there is everything wrong with it if it’s being used in a bad way,” he said.
Describing himself as a Bible wizard, he said, “I’m a Bible wizard because I’ve studied the Bible and I’m using it positively. I am revealing a lot to people and that makes me a Bible wizard.”
He advised Ghanaians to change their mentality of witches and wizards, saying they don’t fly at night and suck blood.
