Former Hearts and Olympics midfielder, Richard Yamoah, has recounted how he had no assistance when he was injured during his time at Accra Great Olympics.

Yamoah endured a difficult season with the ‘Oly dade boys’ after moving from Hearts of Oak for the 2019/2020 season.

The 30-year-old battled injuries and was unable to recapture his form for the Accra-based side where he featured only three times for the club.

Speaking on Happy FM’s Where Are They? program, Richard Yamoah narrated how he struggled to find form in the Premier League due to his recurring injury problems.

“Great Olympics is the last club I featured and when I got injured I didn’t get assistance from anywhere, it got to a point where I had something little and needed a little addition to treat myself but could not get any assistance”, he told Ohene-Bampoe Brenya on Happy Sports.

He also disclosed how he ended up in Nigeria and currently entered into coaching.

“I played for clubs here in Nigeria which is Delta Force and Kada City FC and had people here who then advised me to come over after they realized how good a player I was and suggested I help them in the field of coaching. So that is how I ended up in Nigeria”, he added.
