Westfield school holds its 20th graduation and achievers’ ceremony

Westfield School has held its twentieth Graduation and Achievers’ ceremony where 59 students, who successfully graduated from pre-School to Grade 1 and Junior High School to Senior High School, were conferred with Certificates on Friday, December 9, 2022.

The official launch was led by Oheneyere Promise Amey, Founder and CEO of the school, amid a colourful array of performances by the students and staff.

Certificates were presented to each pupil on the occasion by the Guest of Honour, Vivien Lamptey Esq., practising lawyer and senior lecturer at the Ghana Law School.

The Executive Director of Westfield Bridge College (secondary department), Mrs. Maritha Osekre-Amey, while delivering her speech said the school has experienced exceptional moments over the years and has instilled into students, the ability to excel on any platform at their disposal, both nationally and in the diaspora.

“We have experienced magical moments and we have created memories that will be fondly remembered in the years ahead. Westfield is, and will always be a place where students are imbibed with the skills crucial to their ability to lead on any stage, be it national or international,” she stated, “each student is trained on three levels – academically, socially and psychologically,” adding that, “this is why our school is known for well-grounded and confident graduates who excel at everything they do.”

The school plans to expand its capacity into Senior High School in the 2023 academic year. This will consolidate the plan to further groom students to step into leadership roles even as they enter University. The mantra of Westfield from pre-School right through to secondary school remains: ”excellence is a choice and a habit” and thus must always be chosen.

Mrs. Osekre-Amey lauded the staff and parents of the school for maintaining high standards of professionalism and dedication to the upbringing and excellence of students.

The colorful graduation ceremony and anniversary was held in the school with parents and guardians who shared in the celebration of their wards.

The ceremony was graced with the presence of renowned guests including the Deputy Minister for Health and Member of Parliament for Weija – Gbawe, Tina Gifty Naa Ayeley Mensah, Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North, Hon. Sheila Bartels, Assembly Member-Tetegu Electoral Area, Hon. Bright Adabra and a representative from the Municipal Education Directorate, Charles Odoom, among several others.
