We’re still working on getting the robbers arrested – Police on Mfantseman MP death

Arrests and prosecution of Mfantseman MP murderers must be thorough - Police told

The Divisional Commander of Police for the Mfantseman constituency, ACP Owuahene Agyei, has said that the police is still working to bring murderers of the Mfantseman MP, Ekow Kwansah Hayford, to book.

He gave this update in an interview with Samuel Eshun on the Happy Morning Show when he stated: As at now we still don’t have any update on what happened but we are still investigating and looking at the killing from the angle of armed robbery”.

Narrating what happened from the viewpoint of an eyewitness, ACP Agyei, revealed that there were about a total of five people including the MP in the car who were travelling when the incident occurred.

The ACP reiterated that the GH 20,000.00 bounty that was placed for people who will identify the killers of the MP is still available.

He was positive that the amount mentioned will motivate someone to leak information to help them deal with the case and the people involved.

The Member of Parliament for Mfantseman Constituency, Mr Ekow Kwansah Hayford was shot dead by unknown assailants while returning from a campaign tour on the Nkusukum Mankessim-Abeadze Duadze road in the Central Region at about 1am on Friday, October,9,2020.
