Hearts of Oak interim coach Edward Nii Odoom says the team at the moment lacks quality in-depth, thus the need for the club to get reinforcements before the transfer window closes on 13 January, 2020.
Hearts have lost their first two matches of the season against Berekum Chelsea at home on match day one and lost heavily to Medeama by 3-0 on Sunday at the Akoon Park.
Speaking in an interview on Happy Sports after the team’s defeat to Medeama, Edward Nii Odoom disclosed that his squad does not have quality in-depth and he will have to work with the materials available.
“I have to work with the players I came to meet. I agree that the quality in the team is low. We need reinforcements in the team”.
“There is no creative midfielder in the team. I have told the management and they have agreed to buy.
The players at the moment need time to develop but we also have to be getting the results”.
He further said it is not difficult coaching Hearts of Oak if you have the supporters behind you.
“It is not difficult coaching Hearts and Kotoko, all you need is the support from the supporters”.
Hearts of Oak will play Ebusua Dwarfs in their next game in the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.
