Ghana and Crystal Palace star striker Jordan Ayew has reacted the Black Stars 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament exit following an uninspired campaign in Cameroon.
The four-time African Champions were defeated 3-2 by minnows Comoros in the final game in Group C of 2021 Africa Cup of Nations ongoing in Garoua, Cameroon on Tuesday.
Milovan Rajevac made a single change in Ghana starting line up to face Comoros as U-20 Afcon winner Abdul Issahaku Fatawu started in the absence of midfielder Baba Iddrisu who picked up an injury against Gabon.
According to Ayew: “We gave our best at the AFCON but unfortunately our best wasn’t enough to qualify the team to the next stage. Our team is still young so we will get back soon.”
