The Minority Leader in Parliament, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has urged the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the incoming NDC government to stand out by adhering to the principles of integrity, probity, and accountability.
Speaking during Parliament’s first sitting after the December 7 general elections, Dr. Forson stressed the importance of prioritizing the welfare of Ghanaians above political interests.
“May we never become like the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government. We have to be different. We cannot be like this NPP government”, he said.
He emphasized that it was time for the incoming government to address the perceived shortcomings of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and fulfill promises that would improve the lives of ordinary Ghanaians.
“May we be guided by the principles of integrity, probity, and accountability” he added.
The minority leader went on to highlight the need for people-centered policies, calling on the incoming administration to avoid repeating past mistakes.
He stressed that government initiatives should focus on serving the citizens rather than catering to the political elite and their allies.
