Former Minister for Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has appealed to President Mahama to continue the Agenda 111 projects initiated by the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, emphasizing that abandoning them for political reasons would hinder the development of Ghana’s healthcare infrastructure.
Speaking at a Minority press conference on Thursday March 13, 2025, Oppong Nkrumah Passionately stated, “Mr. President, we beg you in the name of God, please do not abandon the Agenda 111 for political reasons,”
He further warned that failing to complete the hospitals would put millions of citizens in remote districts at risk, as they rely on these facilities for improved healthcare access.
“The millions of citizens in remote districts who are looking forward to their lives being safeguarded by this healthcare intervention will be at risk”.
