We all played a role that made Mahama President – Yaw Boateng Gyan

Aspiring National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yaw Boateng Gyan, has discredited the perception that he was in the camp of late President Atta Mills and therefore, dislikes former President John Mahama.

Yaw Boateng Gyan said this perception is laughable because he worked with former President Mahama when he was the Vice President and also when he became President.

Speaking on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show Mr. Gyan said he worked with former President John Mahama then a Vice President to the late President John Evans Atta-Mills and also supported him as President and wondered why some people will pitch him against the former President.

“Atta Mills selected Mahama as his Vice President. I worked with him; nothing stopped me from discharging my duties. Why should we draw a line between Mills boy and Mahama boy?”
He explained that “if Mahama has his boys, were they around him in 2016? What happened to those who claim to be Mahama boys? They contributed to making him the ex-President”.

Mr. Boateng Gyan said some of them were very instrumental in the late Atta Mills’ decision to make Mahama the Vice President then.

“We all played a role that made Mahama the Vice President. We worked with him till he became the President. So do you think an Atta Mills boy like me will do that if indeed I didn’t like Mahama”, he quizzed.
