The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released all results previously withheld from the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Over 10,000 results had been withheld due to suspected malpractices, but WAEC had committed to releasing them by February 28.
This move comes after a legal dispute and threats of nationwide protests from the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS).
WAEC’s Head of Public Affairs, John Kapi, confirmed that there are no outstanding results, including those that were part of the legal dispute with the Council. He emphasized that WAEC has fulfilled its promise, stating that by the end of February 28, all withheld results had been uploaded.
Kapi also assured that the released results accurately reflect the performance of the candidates in the examination.
