Dancehall act Shatta Wale, five years after rebranding has arguably the largest fan-base in Ghana. These fans are loyal in every sense of the word. One of those is Abdul Kadril, a Niger native who sells sunglasses.
His recent ‘Reign’ album launch with over an estimated 20,000 people in attendance is a clear indication of how large his fan-base is and their loyalty to him.
Abdul who was spotted by Happy FM one afternoon could not hide his love for the ‘Wonders’ hitmaker.
According him, Shatta Wale is number in the whole of Africa and no musician in Ghana can be compared to him.
“Shatta Wale, the whole Africa ibe number one,” he asserted.
