Hearts of Oak face serious charges from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) after their 2-0 victory on Saturday. The club is accused of violating key safety and security regulations during their Ghana Premier League match against Young Apostles FC at the University of Ghana Stadium.

Specifically, Hearts of Oak allegedly allowed unaccredited fans into the “Safe Zone,” an area restricted to authorized personnel. This breaches Article 8(e) of the GFA Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols, 2025, and Article 34(6)(d) of the GFA Ghana Premier League Regulations, 2019.

The GFA emphasizes that unauthorized access to the Safe Zone severely compromises security and constitutes misconduct, bringing the game into disrepute.
