Video of some Arise Ghana demonstrators seeking the death of President Akufo-Addo is in circulation on social media.
Led by Communications Officer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, the demonstrators could be seen singing a song in the local dialect as pressmen record them.
The content of the song was a prayer to God to cut short the life of hearty Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
According these protesters, mainly young men, the President has “destroyed” the nation and they not see any reason why he should live to keep steering the affair of this country.
Organizers of the Arise Ghana pressure group together with some aggrieved Ghanaians hit the streets of Accra on Wednesday and Thursday in protest against the current economic challenges facing the country.
