Mr. Afriyie arrived at the FA secretariat and spent few minutes there before returning. Many pundits have tipped the experienced football administrator to win the upcoming GFA presidential elections with some people seeing him as the heir apparent to disposed former FA boss Kwasi Nyantakyi.
Others who want a fresh face see his link to ousted former President Kwasi Nyantakyi as a disadvantage to his presidential aspirations.
He joins Wilfred Osei Palmer, Nana Yaw Amponsah, Kurt Okraku and Kojo Yankah as persons who have filed their nominations for the coveted GFA hot seat.
