VIDEO: DJ Advicer motivated me to do music again – Prince Bright (Buk Bak)

The only surviving member of Hiplife duo -Buk Bak- says he lost interest in doing music after the death of his partner, Ronnie Coaches but the constant playing of their music by DJ Advicer gave him a wake up call to go back to doing music.

On Happy FM’s ‘Ayekooafter drive show, he made this disclosure to the host of the show DJ Advicer who was also his motivator.

“I was not very active on social media but one day I decided to check by twitter page to see if our brand was still relevant and then I found out one DJ Advicer was constantly playing our songs. I wondered who this DJ was and sent a thank you message to him,” he said.

“That brought me to the realization that if this DJ was still playing our songs, it means people are still listening to us and so I needed to sit up and reconsider my decision of quitting music.

“At a point I had given up on myself, because I felt my desire to continue to do music was taken away with my brother.”

“I didn’t feel like making music anymore, I had recorded some songs and even some with my brother Ronnie, but I really didn’t have the urge to release them and do music anymore until I got a wake up call from DJ Advicer,”he added.

Ronnie Coachies died five years ago after a short illness.
