The Member of Parliament for Upper Manya Krobo, Bismark Tetteh Nyarko, has urged calm among constituents amid growing frustration over the delay in a ministerial appointment.
His statement follows a protest by members of the Constituency last week, demanding President Mahama appoints their MP to a ministerial role.
Mr. Nyarko described ministerial appointments as complex decisions that undergo multiple processes and cannot be rushed. “I implore you to trust the process, even as you exercise your unalienable right to express your opinions,” he stated.
While acknowledging constituents’ right to voice their concerns, he urged them to adopt peaceful, non-violent, and respectful means of protest to avoid harm or unfortunate incidents.
The NDC MP assured the people of Upper Manya Krobo that their concerns are being heard and addressed.
“Rest assured, your voices are being heard, and I am confident that the relevant authorities are working diligently to address your concerns. Let us maintain open, constructive, and respectful dialogue as we navigate this challenging period,” he emphasized
Government has so far made no comments on the matter.
