UK Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner has reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with Ghana.
She pledged to support Ghana’s drive for economic growth, job creation and the 24-hour economy policy to enhance living standards.
During a visit to President John Dramani Mahama following his election victory, she highlighted the shared aspirations of both nations in fostering economic expansion and improving living standards.
She underscored the UK’s long-standing support for Ghana’s development and reiterated the commitment to deepening this partnership.
She noted the dynamism of Ghana’s entrepreneurs and the potential for job creation, stating that the UK government is aligned with Ghana’s vision for economic growth.
She emphasized that by working together, both countries could achieve significant progress, ensuring that economic policies translate into real benefits for citizens.
The UK’s continued collaboration with Ghana, she added, would focus on creating opportunities for businesses, supporting local industries, and ensuring that individuals can secure employment to sustain their families.
