TikTok ban: App returns to app stores; deadline imminent

U.S President -Elect Donald Trump has initiated a three month deadline for Chinese-owned app TikTok’s operations in the United States, restoring services after hours of blackout and halt of operations in the United States.

TikTok had revealed during the blackout that they had initiated talks with Trump to find a resolve to the issue. As a major source of entertainment and a striving source of income for many influencers and ambassadors majority of Americans where quite unsettling with the issue.

According to reports, President-elect Donald Trump halted enforcement of the law banning the service on national security concerns.

Trump announced he would give its owners another three months to find a buyer, which is a modification of the law which was expected to prevents American companies from hosting or serving content for the Chinese-owned social media platform unless it sells itself to a buyer from the United States or one of its allies.
