The Technical University Senior Administrators Association of Ghana (TUSAAG) is set to embark on a nationwide strike starting Friday, September 27, 2024. This decision comes after government failed to fulfill its obligations under the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and didn’t implement revised allowances for senior public university members.
“TUSAAG has reached its limit and is now demanding full implementation of all provisions in the CBA”
The association in a release dated September 26 expressed frustration over the government’s failure to honor their collective bargaining agreement despite numerous promises.
Specifically, TUSAAG cited the government’s refusal to implement revised allowances for senior members of public universities, directed by the Ministry of Finance in May 2024, as a clear violation of their rights.
As a result, TUSAAG will withdraw all services across all technical universities in the country until their demands are met.
