Tunisian president sacks Prime Minister; outdoors successor

Tunisian President Kais Saied has appointed the Minister of Social Affairs, Kamel Maddouri as the nation’s new Prime Minister of the state.

The move made by the president was swiftly put in place after relieving Mr. Ahmed Hachani of his duties of the role on Wednesday.
The new Prime Minister was named in a recently released statement issued by the presidency of the Tunisian government.

According to reports, the price surge in sectors like agriculture and energy have been a major challenge.

The former prime minister in a recent video however indicated that despite these challenges, the government had achieved progress on several fronts.
