Gusau made the call on Friday, May 7 at the unveiling ceremony of the Nigeria motorsport games in Abuja.

Speaking to journalists including a Legit.ng reporter on the sidelines of the event, Gusau, who was the guest of honour at the ceremony, stated that motor racing can help the government address the challenges of unemployment in the country.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that a former governor of Enugu state, Chimaroke Nnamani, said state police is not the solution to the security challenges in Nigeria. Nnamani said that the factors that led to the abolition of regional police are still very much available.

He stated that some of the factors include the influence of political players, traditional players and interference by elites.

The former governor explained that the only way state police can function effectively is if it was made to be uniform in all 36 states of the federation.
