The Department of Urban Roads has announced that Cantonments Road will experience significant traffic interruptions from Sunday, May 26 to Monday, July 29, 2024, due to drainage and traffic management works between the Police Station and Danquah Circle.This initiative aims to enhance the drainage system and ensure safe pedestrian access in front of the Police Hospital. Motorists and road users are advised to follow traffic management signs and cooperate with the Police MTTD for guidance during this period.During this period, motorists and all other road users intending to use Cantonments Road are advised to follow the traffic management signs placed along the road for direction. Additionally, the Police MTTD will be stationed at strategic locations to provide guidance and assistance to all motorists, ensuring a smooth and safe journey.The Department of Urban Roads apologizes for any temporary disruptions caused by the ongoing development work. According to Ing. James Amoo-Gottfried, Director of the Department of Urban Roads, these essential upgrades will yield long-term benefits for the community, ultimately enhancing the overall safety and functionality of the area.
