TOR MD resigns

In a letter to President Nana Akufo-Addo, Jerry Kofi Hinson, the Managing Director of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), announced his resignation due to health issues.

Mr. Hinson indicated in a letter dated August 11, 2023 that he is unable to continue in his position as MD because of unanticipated health issues.

In March 2022, Mr. Hinson was appointed as the Managing Director of Tema Oil Refinery and has since served 18 months in office.

He served as President Nana Addo Akufo-Addo’s government as the fourth managing director of TOR. Francis Boateng and Ato Morrison, who served as assistant were fired from their positions in June 2021, and he replaced them.
