This year’s 8th Edition of the 3G Awards is a reminisce of the 2011 version. The 2011 edition honoured many soccer legends and personalities who had travelled to the US for the first time.
The 2018 edition will have similar great media personalities also coming to New York for the first time and one of them is the award-winning and great media personality; Reuben Sai Obodai of Global Media Alliance’s Happyghana.com and Editor for the biggest football website, GHANASoccernet.com
3G Media is once again proud to announce that Reuben Sai Obodai has confirmed and attending the 8th annual edition ceremony in New York as Honoree. Talking about excitement, many fans who watch his program on e.TV Ghana are looking forward to join him celebrate the occasion.
A little known History Fact
Reuben Obodai was a key cog of the Amidaus Professionals’s side that won promotion to the 2013/14 Ghana Premier League season.
However, due to persistent knee injury he quit the beautiful game to pursue his dream of becoming a sports journalist.
He attained a Diploma in Journalism at the Institute of Advance College Education before furthering the course at e.TV’s E-Academy where he later became a lecturer at the school.
Mr. Obodai is now the Editor for the biggest football website in West Africa, GHANASoccernet.com as well as Happyghana.com, which is a sub-company of Global Media Alliance.
The enterprising writer also anchors ‘The Team’ show on e.TV and his analysis on Happy FM renowned sports show, Anopa Bosuo Sports has been revered by many as one of the best sports shows in Ghana.
Mr. Obodai was selected as one of three sports journalists from Ghana by the Confederation of African Football to cover 2018 Club Licensing workshop in Kenya.
3G Media will be rewarding Mr. Obodai for his role in projecting Ghanaian players in Europe as well as the American top-flight league (Major League Soccer), with his weekly feature on the performance of Ghanaian players in abroad.
