Today In History: Jimmy Butler breaks Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls record

Former Ghanaian international football player Samuel Osei Kuffour suffered a major tragedy after his 15-month old daughter, Gaudiva drowned in his East Legon home swimming pool in Accra .
Bayern’s squad were ready to take off to their Spanish training camp in Marbella on that Friday afternoon when the defender was confronted with the tragic news that his daughter had been killed.
Kuffour rushed back to Ghana using the clubs’ plane after being freed from training with the squad.

“All we know at the moment is that the child drowned while playing in the pool. We gave him off as long as he needs to cope with this devastating situation,” explained then managing director Uli Hoeness.

“This is a cruel stroke of fate for Sammy and the whole team is in shock. We will do all we can to help him,” declared Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld.

Asante Kotoko put up domineering performance to wallop Serbian side FK Jagodina 5-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium in a 80th-anniversary match with a brace from Eric Donkor.
Theophilus Nyame struck from close range after 13 minutes and that was doubled four minutes later through captain Amos Frimpong.
Just after the half-hour mark, Donkor unleashed a thunderbolt from 25 yards to make it three for the hosts.
In the 56th minute, Donkor scored his personal second and Kotoko’s fourth.
By the hour mark, Dauda Mohammed scored the fifth to end the demolition exercise.

Jimmy Butler breaks Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls record for points in a half, scoring 40 of his 42 points in the second half to lead the Bulls in a 115-113 victory over the Toronto Raptors.
