Three earth tremors have been recorded in parts of the capital city, Accra.
The occurrences which happened in quick succession around 10:45 pm on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, has left several residents with their hearts in their mouths.
Affected residents reported strong vibrations, which forced some of them to abandon their homes for a number of minutes.
Residents of Kasoa, Bubuashie, Dansoman, McCarthy Hill, Weija, Bortianor, Tetegu, Gbawe, Aplaku, Sowutuom, Awoshie, Adenta among others confirmed that they experienced the earth tremor.
The tremor will not come as a surprise to the Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GGSA) which has been forecasting a major earthquake along the fault line of Accra.
Ghana’s traditional fault line is said to be on the McCarthy Hill through to the Accra Central route.
