The entourage of Kudus Mohammed have been assured that there is no tension between the player and head coach, Julien Lopetegui.
Julien Lopetegui reportedly criticized Kudus Mohammed at half time during West Ham United’s game against Brantford after the Spanish coach reportedly told the Ghanaian to learn how to be a team player.
The tension according to reports led to the halftime substitution of Kudus Mohammed at the Brantford Stadium on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
However, the hierarchy of West Ham United according to The Athletic have urged the entourage of the player not to be bothered as it was just a banter between a coach and a player.
Meanwhile, Julien Lopetegui when asked about the decision to take off Kudus Mohammed at halftime against Branford said it was purely a tactical decision and nothing else.
“It was a tactical decision. I was thinking we needed that. I was thinking that was better for the team and we needed these kinds of changes. The second half we worked as a team,” Lopetegui explained after the match.
