Vice President Bawumia’s proposal to help Ghanaians purchase smartphones on credit has faced opposition from his main contender, John Dramani Mahama.
Mr. Mahama questioned the relevance of this move given the current issues of youth unemployment in the country.
Mr. Mahama emphasized that Ghanaians are seeking job opportunities, not credit plans to purchase phones.
He reaffirmed his commitment to making a future NDC government a job-creating powerhouse.
He stated that his stance and plans are focused on generating employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors.
Speaking at a rally with the chiefs and people of Nabdam in the Upper East region, the former president stated that he would not make promises about purchasing smartphones with small payments, as his main contender, the Vice President, has done.
John Mahama argued that the ruling regime has failed miserably despite claiming they have capable personnel.
