Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Samuel Abu Jinapor is confident that the strong alliance between Northern Ghana and Asanteman will help the New Patriotic Party (NPP) achieve its goal of “breaking the 8” in the upcoming December polls. Speaking to party supporters in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Jinapor emphasized that this year’s election is a contest between Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the NPP and John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He argued that when comparing the two presidential candidates’ track records, Dr. Bawumia’s initiatives far surpass those of John Mahama, likening them to “day and night” that can never match.

“It’s about time we compared the two running mates because When you compare the two presidential candidates, it’s like comparing day and night and when you compare the running mates, it’s also like day and night”, he said.

He highlighted the strengths of NPP’s running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, over the NDC’s Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, citing NAPO’s achievement of initiating free education during his tenure as Minister of Education whilst Prof. Opoku-Agyemang during here time in office couldn’t even afford chalks for schools.

Jinapor urged Ghanaians to recognize the NPP government’s numerous accomplishments and vote for them to continue delivering success for the country. Jinapor believes that pairing Dr. Bawumia and NAPO will help the party accumulate votes from both Northern and Ashanti Region. This election is crucial, and Jinapor’s message emphasizes the importance of comparing the candidates’ past performances to make an informed decision.
