Black Stars captain, Andre Dede Ayew has complained about the poor nature of the pitch at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Temale.
The poor nature of pitches in the country has been a major concern for many and footballers have joined the campaign calling on authorities to put them in good shape.
Andre Ayew who is a son of the North acknowledged the talents in the region but stated that they need good facilities to be able to showcase their gifts from God in order to take it to the next level.
“We have a wonderful stadium here, and I hope and pray that we will be able to work on the pitch to make it better for our teams that play their matches here. The stadium is a great one,” Andre Ayew told the press after the All Star Festival on Saturday, June 22, 2024.
Andre Ayew now becomes the second Black Stars player to have complained about pitches in Ghana after Thomas Partey told Vice president Dr. Bawumia that the players need good pitches before Ghana’s World Cup qualifier against Central African Republic in Kumasi.
