Former Ghana midfielder, Rabiu Mohammed has urged Black Stars players to priorities victory over anything else in the upcoming games against Chad and Madagascar in the 206 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars will face Chad on March 21, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium before facing Madagascar in an away fixture on March 24, 2025.
Speaking in an interview with Ohene-Bampoe Brenya on Happy FM, Rabiu Mohammed who was part of the Black Stars squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil urged the players to do everything in their power to win the game.
“They should work on their confidence because they are the one who can do the job for Ghana. No matter what happens in these games we have to win, they should do everything possible to win the games.”
Rabiu Mohammed added that Ghanaians won’t care about any beautiful football because they just want victories in the upcoming games.
“Ghanaians won’t care about how good they played if they don’t win the game. They should focus on winning the game and we will talk about everything else because we have to qualify for the World Cup,” he added.
Rabiu Mohammed was a member of the Black Satellites team that won the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
