The Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, has emphasized the NPP government’s commitment to using the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy as a tool for eradicating poverty in Ghana.

He said education plays a critical role in empowering individuals and bridging the gap between the rich and the less privileged.

According to him, providing access to quality education ensures that every Ghanaian, regardless of background, can achieve their full potential.

He pointed out to the NPP government’s commitment to creating opportunities for the youth through initiatives aimed at economic transformation. These he noted include the establishment of a petroleum hub in the Western Region, which is expected to generate over 20,000 jobs.

He reiterated the importance of policies that foster sustainable development, urging young people to support the NPP’s vision for progress. He noted that the party’s achievements, such as laying the foundation for industrialization and creating jobs, are clear indicators of its dedication to the nation’s growth.

He also outlined plans to enhance the region’s industrial capacity, including the construction of new factories and the expansion of job creation initiatives, which he believes will attract investment and drive regional development.

He stressed the need for collective efforts to support the government’s agenda, emphasizing that the NPP’s vision aligns with the aspirations of Ghanaians to build a prosperous future for all.
