Member of Parliament for Adomako Enyan Esiam and Former Deputy Finance Minister under the erstwhile John Fiifi Atta Mills, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has expressed gratitude to the leadership of the National Democratic Congress following his appointment as the Minority Leader of the
party’s caucus in Parliament.
The newly appointed Minority Leader made these comments in a statement issued from his social media platform which read,” My dear friends, I am honoured to have been chosen to lead our illustrious and gallant caucus in parliament”
“I thank the leadership of our party who have placed their trust and confidence in me. I am also deeply grateful to colleagues, the rank and file of our party and the Ghanaian people for their profound support and solidarity” he mentioned.
He reiterated that he has had interactions with his predecessor, Haruna Iddrissu while commending him for his commitment towards the party.
“I have had fruitful and positive conversations with my brother Hon. Haruna Iddrisu. I commend him for his admirable stewardship when he was granted the opportunity by our party” he stated.
Mr Ato Forson pleaded for the support of party members and was certain of representing the collective goals,” with unwavering dedication and high integrity.”
“ I do not doubt that with your support we shall succeed” he assured.
“May God bless our efforts” he added.
Cassiel Ato Forson takes over from Haruna Iddrisu as the Minority Leader while Kwame Governs Agbodza is the new Minority Chief Whip.
Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah is the new Deputy Minority Leader while two deputy Minority Chief Whips, Ahmed Ibrahim and Comfort Doyoe Kudkoe Ghansah, have been retained.
