Suspended National Youth Organizer of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) and the leader of Economic Fighters League (EFL), Ernesto Yeboah, has cautioned the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to stop exploiting the bodies of young women in their party for their selfish gain.
According him, the pressure group has taken notice of the systematic attempts to objectify and “use the bodies of young ladies for selfish political gain.”
Mr.Yeboah’s assertions comes on the back of recent photos of some young women on social media bearing the campaign effigies of various contenders for the executive positions in the NPP.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Epa Hoa Daben show, he said, “We have taken notice of the systematic attempts to objectify and “use the bodies of young ladies for selfish political gain.Recent photos of some of these young women on social media bearing the campaign effigies of various contenders for executive positions lend credence to this. With this despicable mindset of women, it is no wonder that NPP National Youth Organizer aspirant, Mr. Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B is the latest culprit.”
Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye of NPP, popularly known as Nana B, sometime ago condemned comments made by Ernesto Yeboah, when he attacked the NPP Loyal Ladies, an affiliate group which solidarize with the ruling Party, calling them ‘Call Girls’.
“I recall how he Nana B earlier wrote to attack me when I cautioned some female members of the NPP to beware of the exploitative tendencies of some of the men in the party,”he recalled.
Already, the leaders of the Economic Fighters League released a statement signed by its General Secretary Hardi Yakubu, condemning the exploiting of women in the NPP.
“We condemn the blatant exploitation and objectification of women under the guise of women’s participation in politics. At Fighters, we believe in the equality of men and women in all respects and treat the objectification of women as a serious crime. All organizations in Ghana must take active steps to prevent the occurrence of such and punish people who engage in such obnoxious acts.”
“We call on women of Ghana to rise up and reject any such bankrupt minded politicians who seek their exploitation to promote their selfish inordinate political ambitions,” he disclosed.
