The 2025 edition of the NAB SHOW, produced by the National Association of Broadcasters, will see sports playing a significant role.

This year’s edition of the NAB SHOW will have an all-new three-day program which will seek to explore the rapidly growing intersection of sports, media and technology with key players like AWS, IMAX, NFL and Microsoft.

This is to harness the gains made over the years in sport since live sports are increasingly driving innovation, engagement and massive real-time audiences across streaming, TV, radio and social media.

It is without doubt that media companies are experimenting with new delivery methods, immersive fan experiences and evolving media rights to reshape the industry.

Speakers for this year’s will include Tracy Perlman who is in charge of SVP Player Operations of the National Football League (NFL), and Gotham Chopra, the award-winning filmmaker and co-founder of Religion of Sports.

Tracy Perlman will tackle the topic, “Engaging Audiences through On-Air Talent”. It is without doubt that on-air personalities play a pivotal role in capturing and retaining audience attention, hence Tracy’s mandate to exhibit how engaging on-air talent can elevate your content, build loyal fan bases, and drive deeper audience connections. Along with her NFL panel, Tracy will give out strategies for selecting, developing, and supporting talent that resonates with viewers, as well as the growing importance of personal brand-building in sports and entertainment.

On the part of Gotham Chopra, he will take on the topic, “PEAK HUMAN: UNLEASHING THE CHAMPION WITHIN”. Sports transcend competition—they are a global language, a cultural force, and, at times, a near-spiritual experience.

No one understands this better than Gotham Chopra, filmmaker, storyteller, and co-founder of Religion of Sports with Tom Brady and Michael Strahan. In his keynote, Chopra will seek to explore the evolving intersection of sports, entertainment, and storytelling, diving into how the narratives of athletes, teams, and moments of triumph or heartbreak captivate audiences worldwide and fuel our own quests to reach our Peak Selves and full Human Potential. How do sports shape identity, inspire communities, and create myths that stand the test of time? Drawing from his work on groundbreaking sports documentaries, branded collaborations and his vision for Religion of Sports, Chopra will share insights on the art of sports storytelling and its growing influence in media, technology, culture, and wellbeing.
