Heading into the series, the Knights were full of confidence, having maintained an unbeaten record during the regular season.
Their semifinal sweep of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Braves, including a 69-62 win in Game 1 and a commanding 57-42 victory in Game 2, showcased their formidable form and reaffirmed their status as the league’s powerhouse.
In the finals, the Knights set the tone early by overcoming ColdStore in a closely contested Game 1 with a 60-54 scoreline. In Game 2, they delivered a composed yet dominant performance, securing a 57-52 win. Coach Selorm Thomas’ tactical brilliance and the team’s cohesive play ensured back-to-back league triumphs, cementing their legacy as one of the most formidable teams in the ABL’s history.

The Knights’ domestic success mirrors their progress on the continental stage. Earlier this year, they made history by becoming the first Ghanaian team to reach the Elite 16 stage of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) qualifiers. Although their campaign ended short of the main competition, their achievement marked a significant milestone for Ghanaian basketball.
Winning the ABL in their debut season last year and defending the title this year underscores the Knights’ consistency, resilience, and ambition. As they celebrate another stellar season, the Spintex Knights continue to raise the bar for basketball in Ghana.
