Spokesperson for the premier league clubs, Patrick Akoto, has said that the Normalization Committee is yet to communicate the start date for the special competition which they proposed to the clubs.
Due to the abrupt end of the Zylofone Cash Premier League and the absent of active football in the country, the Normalization Committee, charged with the responsibility of temporary running the day to day affairs of Ghana football, proposed a special competition to clubs to quench the thirst of local football which people have longed for for a while now.
The format of the competition among other terms proposed by the NC became a bone of contention between the NC and premier league clubs. But a compromise was reached between the two parties.
However, the date for the start of the competition is still in limbo.
In an interview on Happy FM’s ‘Anopa Bosuo Sports’ hosted by Ohene Bampoe Brenya, the spokesperson for the premier league clubs, Mr. Akoto said that the date for the commencement of the competition has still not been communicated to the teams.
“The Normalization committee didn’t give us any official date for the special competition. As far us we the clubs are concerned, nothing official has been communicated to us on when the competition will start,” he stated.
