President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has provided insights into a forthcoming initiative aimed at enhancing accountability within Ghana’s governmental framework, coinciding with the nation’s transition into the digital age.
President Akufo-Addo underscored the diligent efforts of his administration in laying down essential infrastructure across various sectors to facilitate holistic development.
In a bid to ensure transparency and inform the populace of governmental endeavors, he introduced the concept of a performance tracker. This program is envisioned to empower Ghanaians with the means to gauge the government’s performance and evaluate the progress in fulfilling its promises regarding developmental projects.
President Akufo-Addo alluded to the imminent launch of the performance tracker slated for March 2024, emphasizing its role in fostering accountability and demonstrating the government’s unwavering commitment to its responsibilities.
Furthermore, he articulated that the introduction of the performance tracker would eliminate the ambiguity often associated with project updates, ensuring that representations align closely with the actual progress of initiatives. “With this performance tracker, never again will an artist impression emerge as the progress of finished projects under this government.”
President Akufo-Addo views this initiative as a pivotal stride towards positioning Ghana for sustained economic stability and advancement through the integration of digital technologies.
