Sheila Bartels questions Minority’s debate choices

Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North, Sheila Bartels, has questioned why the minority isn’t proposing their flagbearer or running mate for a debate with Dr. Bawumia.

She implied that their reluctance might suggest a lack of economic competency and questioned why Ghanaians should trust a candidate who avoids debating their opponent. Minority Leader Dr. Ato Forson argued in Parliament that the NPP flagbearer is only suitable for debates with specific figures like Isaac Adongo, Kweku Ricketts-Hagan, and Thomas Nyarko Ampem, rather than with Mr. Mahama.

However, in an interview with Kwadwo Safah-Danquah on the Happy Morning Show, Madam, Bartels countered that this stance actually highlights Dr. Bawumia’s strength and capacity in terms of economic prowess, knowledge and drive. She praised his economic expertise, knowledge, and vision, pointing out that his contributions to the mid-year budget review and the impact of digitalization on revenue generation underscore his visionary leadership.
