Harvested maize belonging to the Savannah Regional Minister, Saeed Muhazu Jibri, has been set ablaze by unidentified persons at Damango in the Savannah Region.

The suspected arson came as a shock to the minister despite fire belts created around the farm to prevent such incidents.

Labourers on the farm were helpless and were unable to do anything at the time the fire was raging in a video shared on social media.

The suspects are yet to be identified and arrested.
