Management of Sawla Senior High School in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region has suspended 30 students over indiscipline.
The students were suspended for violating the Ghana Education Service’s no mobile phones in school policy.
Sources from the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District Directorate of the Education indicate that the students were also involved in deviant behaviour in the school.
A seven member committee that was set up by the management of the school to investigate the matter concluded that the students were guilty of all the allegations levelled against them.
The committee suspended the students indefinitely after their investigations.
However, parents of the affected students have registered their displeasure about the school’s failure to give them prior notice before suspending their wards.
